NzingaI started using the CBD tampons a year ago as a person with endometriosis trying to manage my period, after spending several years on birth control. Those tampons changed my life, thanks to them my period is no longer disabling, I can live while on my period. It's amazing and I tell about them to everyone I know. A thousand thanks to the person who invented them.
Allen SDaye is doing more for women's health than any other company. The products are incredible and have helped me so much, I rave to everyone I know about the CBD tampons!
Even going back to lockdown, I took part in one of the zooms where I learned so much about the body I've lived in for over 30 years and had fun with lots of other like minded women. Keep up the amazing work, Daye!
JenThe cramping and pain would diminish within 30 minutes whereas before my cramps would last all day. I liked spacing the infused tampons out between some regular ones as that worked best for me to keep the pain away. Definitely will buy again!
EmmaAbsolutely loving Daye products. The CBD tampons help massively with my Endo cramps and helps me avoid having to take loads of painkillers. A product development note would be that because I have to wear a tampon and a pad I would say the super pads aren’t thick enough- love the long design with wings but find they need to be thicker or a maxi pad on offer, especially for night time. But as I said, highly recommend, cute packaging too 🥰
Millie ClarkBeing on my period is the WORST time. I always feel bloated, anxious, depressed, and (like many women) have the most awful pain (I also feel more uncomfortable when wearing a tampon). I have just started using Daye's CBD tampons and I have now ordered more!! Today was the 2nd day of my period (usually the most painful day), and I felt fine! My cramps were so much more bearable and I did not feel depressed, groggy, or uncomfortable (their tampons are so comfy!). THANK YOU DAYE!
Daye doesn’t recommend using CBD in any form if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. While there’s no evidence showing that CBD could have an impact on fertility or pregnancy, they prefer to err on the side of caution, as large scale studies on the matter have not yet been conducted.
At Daye, they prioritise reliable scientific data and patient safety. As their clinical trials have not included patients under the age of 18, they do not recommend using their tampons if you are under 18 years old. While there is currently no evidence to suggest that Cannabidiol (CBD) is harmful to people under 18, this compound has not been extensively studied in younger patients. It is challenging to collect scientific data on how people under 18 react to new medical devices as they are rarely allowed to participate in clinical trials. Therefore, to prioritise patient safety and ensure that they have sufficient scientific data, they advise that our tampons should only be used by those aged 18 and above.
Tampons can potentially stretch or tear the hymen, but it's not a guaranteed or common occurrence. The hymen is a thin membrane that partially covers the opening of the vagina in some individuals. It can vary in thickness and elasticity from person to person. When inserting a tampon, if done carefully and gently, it typically shouldn't cause damage to the hymen. However, if a person's hymen is particularly thin or if they have a medical condition called imperforate hymen (where the hymen completely covers the vaginal opening), there is a slightly higher chance of the tampon causing some stretching or tearing.
It's important to note that the hymen can naturally stretch or tear over time due to various activities such as physical activity, horseback riding, gymnastics, or even normal vaginal development. Sexual activity can also impact the hymen, but it's not the only factor in hymen integrity. In many cultures, there is a misconception that an intact hymen is a sign of virginity, but this is not a reliable indicator. Hymens can vary greatly in appearance and resilience, and not all individuals with intact hymens have never engaged in sexual activity.
Daye have conducted safety testing, including vaginal irritation, sensitisation, microbiology and effect on TSS-toxins. One of their studies has been published in the Journal of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders. All their unpublished clinical and pre-clinical data have been completed and reviewed by independent clinicians as well. At present, regulatory authorities mandate that only prescription drugs should make their clinical evidence available to the general public. As Daye are not regulated as a prescription drug, they do not make their studies available publicly, so they can stay compliant with regulations.
Daye's Nude tampons will be slightly more expensive than most organic tampons to reflect the cost of sanitisation, clean room manufacturing, truly sustainable packaging, and ethical production wages. They promise their CBD tampons will always be less expensive than buying organic tampons and the equivalent strength of CBD oil together.
Daye's Nude tampons are made from 100% organic and sustainably sourced cotton fibres. Their CBD tampons comprise a proprietary cannabinoid formulation, which contains CBD, CBA, CBG and terpenes, but absolutely no THC. The cannabinoid extract they use is 30% concentration, and lab tested for microbial contamination and cannabinoid content.
Your CBD tampon will have a colour as Daye never bleaches their CBD, and they only ever work with organic, non-synthetic cannabinoids.
The colour might range from a light amber to a deep maroon, depending on the batch of CBD that has been used for your specific tampon. Please keep in mind that Daye test their tampons for their cannabinoid content, ensuring each of your tampons has the same amount of CBD.
They also test their tampons for microbial and heavy metal contamination, so while the colour of your tampon might look unusual, it is perfectly safe as evidenced by their multiple rounds of clinical and lab tests.
Daye’s tampons and their production standards are certified under ISO13485, the global quality management system for medical devices.
