Before she became a familiar voice in Love Island commentary, Amy Hart sat down with us at femme to talk about something even closer to her heart: women’s health, her fertility journey, and the power of community.
It’s been a whirlwind few years for Amy, from freezing her eggs, finding love and welcoming her first baby, Stanley, to growing her family again. Since the original version of this article was published, Amy has welcomed her second son, Dexter, in 2026. Looking back at that first interview, the themes of fertility information, access and support still feel just as relevant.

When Amy first walked into femme HQ, she was exactly what you’d hope for in a brand ambassador: warm, authentic, and genuinely passionate about our mission. There was no “TV persona” front; just Amy, ready to talk openly about her own fertility journey and why women deserve better access to information, products, and support.
“Navigating fertility can feel like having 50 tabs open on your browser,” Amy laughed. “It’s overwhelming. But finding a place like femme Health, where everything is in one place, is such a relief.”
That was the moment we knew we’d found the perfect partner.
Life after Love Island
For many, Amy Hart is first and foremost “Amy from Love Island”, the bubbly contestant whose honesty and humour won fans back in 2019. Away from reality TV, Amy has also spoken publicly about her fertility testing, egg freezing and family life.
Her platform has helped bring subjects such as egg freezing and fertility treatment into a much more mainstream conversation. As Amy told us: “Love Island gave me a platform, and I want to use it for more than entertainment. Women’s health, their fertility journeys, and community matter to me and they deserve to be talked about.”
The fertility funding postcode lottery

One of the issues we discussed with Amy was inequality in access to NHS-funded fertility treatment across the UK. Eligibility for IVF can vary between local NHS commissioning arrangements, which is why the phrase “postcode lottery” is so often used around fertility care.
“It’s incredibly unfair,” Amy told us. “Your location shouldn’t determine whether you can start a family. Partnering with femme made sense because they’re committed to changing that, not just talking about it, but actively supporting organisations like The Fertility Foundation.”
At the time of our original partnership, femme had committed a portion of marketing income to supporting fertility grants. Whatever route someone takes, fertility assessment and treatment decisions should be based on individual clinical circumstances rather than assumptions made from a postcode or a single test result.
How Amy used femme during that chapter
When we first published this story, Amy was looking after Stanley, working across media projects and preparing for another pregnancy.
At the time she told us: “I’ve switched to organic period products, I’m taking fertility supplements in preparation for baby number two, and I’m constantly checking the site for new articles and advice, to support me on my fertility journey. It’s become part of my routine, not just for me, but for my family’s future.”
That quote belongs to that point in Amy’s story. Her second son, Dexter, has since arrived, making this article a snapshot of a fertility journey that continued to evolve after our original interview.

But personal stories are not medical predictions: fertility tests, including ovarian reserve markers, have limits and cannot guarantee whether or when somebody will conceive naturally.
