Tasty gummies. I had stopped taking other suppliments that weren't pregnancy safe and my hair had started to shed. I tried these and my hair loss has reduced significantly.

Frequently asked

Why and when should I start taking them?

Yummygums contain higher doses of folic acid (400 mcg, 200% RDA) and vitamin D3 (10 mcg, 200% RDA). These are the quantities recommended by the NHS during early pregnancy to minimise the chance of spina bifida or cleft palate. It takes about four weeks for folic acid to be absorbed into your body. That is why the advice already applies from four weeks before conception up to and including the tenth week of pregnancy. So, it is important to start well before your pregnancy. Vitamin D3 is recommended as a supplement during and after pregnancy.

What sweeteners do you use?

Yummygums contain stevia and maltitol. Stevia is a natural sweetener extracted from the leaves of the stevia plant. Maltitol is a sugar substitute containing 75-90% of the sweetness. It is obtained from maltose (malt sugar), which comes from wheat or maize. This sweetener has almost the same properties as sugar, only it is a lot healthier! Maltitol is very low in calories, is better for your teeth and has less effect on your blood sugar level. Maltitol is a safe sweetener. When assessing sweeteners, the effect in pregnant women is also considered. The Nutrition Centre indicates that sweeteners, including maltitol, are not harmful. In addition, Yummygums contains only a small amount of maltitol. So, you don't need to worry about this sweetener.

Can I recycle the Yummygums bottles?

Yes, of course! If you remove the labels, the Yummygums jars are recyclable. The transparent jars are made of rPet. An rPET jar is made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET). That sounds complicated, but the bottom line is that it consists of previously used PET plastic. This makes their new jars 100% recycled and recyclable! So, very responsible.
