Description
The Aevum Maintenance Pacing Planner is a streamlined 90-day planner for people who have already begun understanding their personal baseline and want a practical way to keep pacing consistently. Designed for people living with ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, POTS and other energy-limiting chronic conditions, it picks up where Aevum's 60-day Starter Planner leaves off.
The condensed format focuses on maintaining the habits and insights you have already developed. It incorporates Aevum's 50% Rule and 48-Hour Echo, an Analytics Lab for comparing activity with symptoms and possible triggers, and a Hard Reset Protocol for periods when your symptoms or capacity change significantly. Rather than repeatedly starting again, the aim is to keep your established pacing framework visible and usable over the next 90 days.
NICE recognises energy management as a long-term, personalised self-management strategy for ME/CFS, with activity maintained or adjusted according to each person's fluctuating limits rather than automatically increased. Aevum's planner is designed to support that kind of reflective self-management but its specific framework is not a medical treatment or replacement for professional healthcare advice.
What's inside
1 x Aevum Maintenance Pacing Planner covering 90 days.
Includes:
50% Rule & 48-Hour Echo tracking
Analytics Lab
Hard Reset Protocol
Condensed ongoing pacing pages
How it works
The Maintenance Planner is designed for use after you have already established a basic understanding of your energy limits and symptom patterns, ideally through Aevum's Starter Planner or an equivalent pacing process.
Use the daily pages to continue planning within your established baseline and recording changes in activity, symptoms and capacity. Refer back to the 48-Hour Echo when symptoms change to consider recent activity rather than only the current day.
Use the Analytics Lab periodically to look for repeating relationships between activity, symptoms and possible influences such as stress or weather.
If your symptoms flare or your capacity changes significantly, use the Hard Reset Protocol and reassess what is currently sustainable rather than automatically trying to return to your previous activity level.
Aevum's 50% Rule is its own planning framework and should not override individual medical or specialist advice.

FAQs
Who is the Maintenance Planner for?
It is intended for people who already have some understanding of their personal baseline, pacing needs and symptom patterns and want a simpler structure for maintaining those habits over the next 90 days.
Do I need to use the Starter Planner first?
Aevum designed the Maintenance Planner to pick up where its 60-day Starter Planner finishes. If you already have a well-established pacing system you may still understand the format, but the Starter Planner provides the fuller introduction to Baseline Mapping and Aevum's approach.
What is different about the Maintenance Planner?
The 90-day version is deliberately more condensed and focused. It assumes that you have already done the initial work of understanding your baseline and shifts the emphasis towards protecting and maintaining that progress.
Does it still include the 48-Hour Echo?
Yes. The Maintenance Planner retains Aevum's 48-Hour Echo, encouraging you to consider whether current symptoms may relate to activity during the previous two days rather than assuming the cause is always immediate.
Does it include the Analytics Lab?
Yes. The Analytics Lab remains part of the Maintenance Planner, allowing you to compare activity and symptoms and look for recurring influences such as stress or environmental factors.
What should I do if my baseline changes?
Treat your baseline as flexible rather than fixed. If symptoms worsen or your capacity changes, reduce or modify your plans accordingly and reassess what currently feels sustainable. For ME/CFS specifically, NICE advises that energy management should be adjusted up or down according to symptoms and periods of stability.
How long does the Maintenance Planner last?
The planner provides 90 days of ongoing pacing and symptom-management planning.
Is this planner a medical treatment?
No. It is an organisational self-management tool, not a treatment for chronic pain, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, POTS or another medical condition. Continue to follow advice from your GP, specialist or other qualified healthcare professional.
