Description

Male fertility depends on more than one factor, and hormones play an important role in regulating sperm production and testicular function. Testosterone, follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinising hormone form part of the signalling system between the brain and testes, while prolactin can also influence reproductive and sexual health.

This test provides a convenient way to measure those four hormones from home. A small finger-prick blood sample is collected in the morning and sent to a UKAS-accredited laboratory for analysis, giving you objective information about your reproductive hormone levels without first requiring an appointment. The test does not measure sperm count, motility or morphology and cannot confirm or rule out infertility on its own.
